Tonight: Skies are mostly cloudy for the early part of the night, with storm chances increasing after midnight. Some of these storms in the western half of the viewing area could be on the stronger side with heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail. Tornadoes are not expected with these storms. Lows are in the upper 60s and low 70s with a southerly wind at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Father’s Day:Showers and storms linger through the morning hours, then after 12 PM the sunshine and the heat comes out. Skies are partly cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the low to mid 90s. With dew points near 70, heat indices are in the mid to upper 90s with some areas close to 100 degrees. Winds are strong out of the south at 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Be careful if you spend time outside for Father’s Day.

SundayNight: Skies are mostly clear overnight as lows are mild in the mid 70s. Winds are out of the south at 5-15 mph.

Monday: Another hot day with highs once again in the low to mid 90s with dew points in the mid to upper 60s. This puts heat indices in the mid to upper 90s with again some areas possibly hitting 100 degrees. Skies are mostly sunny with a strong southerly wind at 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Rest of the Week:Tuesday provides little relief, as highs are only a few degrees cooler in the upper 80s and low 90s. Dew points remain uncomfortable in the mid to upper 60s, putting heat indices in the low to mid 90s. We are dry for the day, then a frontal boundary moves in Tuesday night into Wednesday, and stays put through much of the rest of the week. This gives us multiple shots of showers and storms Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and possibly into the weekend. This does cool us down slightly into the low to mid 80s Wednesday and Thursday, but highs are back into the mid to upper 80s Friday and beyond.
