Where is the fuse layout? ›

Engine fuse boxes are typically situated near the battery. In this vehicle, the battery is on the driver's side, and there is a fuse box right above it with a black plastic cover to protect the fuses. On the passenger side, there is also a battery, and the fuse box is located nearby.

Fuse boxes are commonly found in utility rooms, porches or under-the-stairs cupboards. You may also have one in your hallway or garage. Wherever your fuse board is located, you must have easy access to it. Make sure you keep the area surrounding your fuse box clear from clutter.

1. Locate the instrument cluster fuse. This is typically found inside the fuse box, which is located under the dash on the driver's side of the car.

Your fuse box will have two sets of fuses. At the bottom will be 15-amp and 20-amp screw-in fuses with glass faces that are exposed and visible. These fuses will service branch light circuits and outlet circuits. At the top will be 30-amp or 40-amp cartridge main fuses for ovens, laundry rooms, or stoves.

The vehicle's fuses are located in two fuse boxes.

The filament must be continuous from one terminal to the other for current to flow. If the filament is broken through, there's melting visible, or there are black or brown burn marks inside or on the outer portion of the fuse, it's an indication the fuse is blown. Use a circuit tester/test light or DVOM.

In most cases, the main fuse box is situated under the hood, near the battery, while secondary panels can be found in the passenger compartment, often hidden behind a removable panel.

Generally the manufacturer's brand name and the actual part number should be enough to identify the right fuse.

The first thing to do is find your main fuse box (these days called a consumer unit), which will be in the same place as your electricity meter. They're often in the main hallway of a house, in a purpose-built cupboard.

Typically, you can find this box in a hidden area of the home. Common locations include the garage, basem*nt, and laundry room. If you have an older home, there could be subpanels for each floor or area.

To remove the fuse box lid, put your finger in the notch on the lid, pull it toward you, and take it out of its hinges. The fuses are located in five fuse boxes. The interior fuse boxes are located under the dashboard on the driver's and passenger's side.

Search inside your home.

It might also be in a storage room, utility room, the basem*nt, or a hallway. If you can't find your box in one of these areas, look again or see if you can spot where the power connects to your house from outside. Check for your box in the surrounding areas.

They should be located near the engine on the firewall. Additionally, there may be another fuse box near the glove box.
